Projects: The Basics

Learn how to use Marketing Projects in Kadince

Summary

The Marketing Module in Kadince offers three distinct objects that can help you track and manage your marketing endeavors and their compliance/approval processes. One of these objects is called Projects.

In the Projects object, you'll find a one-stop-shop dashboard that displays all your Marketing Projects, bottlenecks, and goals––all determined by your date driver in the top left.

In this article, we'll cover everything you need to know about the Projects object in Kadince!

The Marketing Projects Dashboard

The Marketing Projects Dashboard is your first stop when interacting with your Projects object. The dashboard shows critical data related to projects within the chosen date operator in the top left. If you're not seeing data you've entered into Kadince, chances are that you just need to choose the appropriate date operator.

The Projects dashboard shows three sub-tabs:

  • Pending: shows which projects are pending approval

  • Bottleneck: shows where you might have bottlenecks in the approval process

  • Goals: view goals related to your Marketing Projects

How to Print from the Marketing Projects Dashboard

Click the print () button in the top right corner to select what you want to print, including Top Charts/Numbers, the Pending Tab, and the Bottleneck Tab.

Marketing Approval Groups & Approval Setup

Before creating your first project, you'll also need to set up your Approvers, Assignee Groups, and Approval Process with Tasks and Sequences.

We have an entire wealth of content covering the New Tasks Engine in our Support Center. Check it out here.

Specifically, you can learn how to set up Assignee Groups here.

Once your Assignee Groups are set up, you'll be ready to add them to your Marketing Projects as part of the Approval Process.

How to Add a Project from a Form

Now that you've built out your form, detail view, and Assignee Groups, you're ready to submit a Project with a form.

External Projects Form Submission

As a non-login user or non-Admin user, users can still submit forms externally. In the Views sub-tab of your Projects form settings, you can generate an external form link. Once distributed, the link will take users to an external form in their browser to fill out and submit.

You can also navigate to the Projects dashboard and click on any of the relevant graphs (making sure your date driver coincides with your data) and access your submitted data via the canned report.
